Essentially an improvement on the old familiar life ring, the Personal Retriever has undergone 9.5+ years of testing to finally become Coast Guard-approved.The Life Safer Personal Retriever is a state-of-the-art, throw-able Personal Flotation Device. Shaped like a frisbee, and looking like a glued-together bunch of styrofoam, the Personal Retriever was named one of the 5 Most Innovative Products of 2004 by CONNECT, UC San Diego's program in technology and entrepreneurship. Made of Petroleum resistant "plasti-coat," the Retriever is deployable within 10 seconds. Just as important, it's RE-deployable within 45 seconds, meaning if your aim is no good, you can quickly recover and try again.
Wound with 100 feet of nylon line, the Personal Retriever can be deployed in wind, surf, and rain.
